Eli Lilly says signs deal with Swixx Biopharma for Russia supplies
MOSCOW, Mar 29 (PRIME) -- U.S. Eli Lilly confirms discontinuation of direct supplies to Russia, but signed an agreement with Switzerland's Swixx Biopharma for the supplies of Eli Lilly's pharmaceuticals to the country, a spokesperson for Russian division Lilly Pharma told PRIME on Wednesday.
"The company is carrying out and will continue to carry out supplies of life-saving drugs to the territory of the Russian Federation,” the spokesperson said.
“Company Eli Lilly has signed an agreement with company Swixx Biopharma that includes the cession of the right to import products of the company, sell them on the territory of Russia and ensures the fulfillment of current liabilities concerning local production," the representative said.
Eli Lilly sells drugs for diabetes, cancer, osteoporosis, rheumatology, dermatology and psychiatry.
